Which type of student are you?
RETURNING STUDENTS- North Yorkshire students who study and live out of county but return during the holidays.
TRAVEL STUDENTS- North Yorkshire students who travel to study out of county but still live within the county and are available on weekends/ evenings/ holidays.
NON NORTH YORKSHIRE STUDENTS who study at universities that are close to or in the county (Leeds, Sunderland, Teesside, York, and Coventry) but could potentially work at North Yorkshire care providers.
NORTH YORKSHIRE STUDENTS who live and study at North Yorkshire Universities (Coventry University in Scarborough and York University and York Saint Johns).
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHICH STUDENT YOU ARE, WE HAVE A ROLE FOR YOU IN NORTH YORKSHIRE!
What subject are you studying?
Specific university courses will encourage students to gain some form of care experience to help future employment:
- Adult and Community Nursing
- Occupational Health
- Social work
However, a care role can also help compliment students on other courses by developing their personal skills in:
- Communication skills
- Thinking skills
- Practical skills
- Team work
