Do you value kindness above all else?

We are currently working with Grovesnor House, a 29 bed Residential and Nursing Care Home, who are seeking Care Assistants to join their friendly team.

We are looking for people who share our passion for caring and supporting others to live fulfilling and happy lives. Our Care Assistants are the glue that holds our home together and are vital to ensuring we can continue to deliver excellent person-centred care. Essentially, you put the comfort, happiness and safety of your Residents first - and do everything in your power to ensure they lead rich, dignified and fulfilling lives.

As a Carer, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will take responsibility for the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of our residents. Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals.

You will be delivering a level of care that truly comes from the heart. It’s about making sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality as you get involved in general activities within the care home. And, whether you’re helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, you’ll always have their wellbeing in mind above anything else.

Particularly in a small home like Grovesnor House, Carers and Residents in many instances become almost family; the support you so willingly provide is appreciated more than you will probably ever know! You will be looking after diverse, incredible people with fascinating life stories.  These people deserve to be supported by someone who can share this chapter in their life and make a real difference

Carers make a real difference to our Residents, they put the ‘warm’ and ’fuzzy’ feeling into the kindness our Residents receive, from that first greeting, or welcoming cup of tea with a favourite biscuit! Simply put, our Carers want all of our Residents to feel loved and cared for, it’s a simple as that!
