Learning Disability Support Worker

At Cauwood we offer a high standard of care within an established staff team, ensuring we have a positive, direct impact on the individual and their families. You will be joining a dedicated hard working team and undertaking a varied and intriguing role supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs and Autism working in a safe environment to access the local community and activities building based.

We are looking for someone to join us on a part time basis (18 hours per week) on a fixed term contract - perfect if you need to balance work with studies or family !

If you do not already hold the Level 2 in Health and Social Care or the QCF Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care, that isn’t a problem! All we ask is for your commitment to study the qualification with full support and training from us to help you to develop. Staff development is extremely important to us so we will also pay for you to complete the qualification via our apprenticeship training route.

Our staff are some of the most trained in the organisation- the level of training and development are some of the great benefits of working for North Yorkshire County Council. We offer an excellent, comprehensive induction and in house training programme which includes management of epilepsy, challenging behaviour, helping people with medication, manual handling, first aid, fire training, and recording training, plus other mandatory requirements for this role.

Band 4 - If you are joining us pre- April 2019 you can expect the hourly rate to be £8.68 - £9.01.

From April 2019 you will be paid in the line with our 2019 pay award rising up to £9.36 - £9.55 per hour. Band 5- If you are joining us pre- April 2019 you can expect the hourly rate to be £8.90-£9.50. From April 2019 you will be paid in the line with our 2019 pay award rising up to £9.55 - £9.94 per hour.
