Westwood Care home in Selby are looking for night time care assistants that want to be part of a close-knit team bringing a greater quality of life to residents in their care, working 10 hours shifts 10pm till 8am two from seven nights per week.

As part of a small team looking after 16 elderly male and female residents, some of whom have dementia related conditions, you will receive and read reports from the day staff, also prepare a concise and accurate report of the night period for hand over to the day staff, be responsible for delivering a sensitive and efficient night care service to the residents attending to residents individual needs throughout the night, to assist residents preparing for bed and waking in the morning as directed, to undertake domestic duties as required, to carry out regular checks throughout the night, giving due regard to residents’ privacy.
