Do you want a job that you honestly enjoy? Where you can build a genuine relationship with the person you are supporting – allowing them to live a fulfilling and social life? A job where you look forward to your next shift?

As a Support Worker with The Avalon Group you will listen to customers and provide support with what they want to do and what they want to achieve. Generally this consists of giving customers access to the community by being involved with activities such as bowling, cinema and trips to the shops.

Avalon is not a residential care provider and your approach will be specifically tailored to the person you are supporting, working towards their goals and aspirations. Some personal care may be involved with certain customers. You will build a great relationship with the people you support, and will see the difference you make to their lives on a daily basis.

You don’t need to have any experience as Avalon’s in-house training team will ensure that you have all the additional skills you need to deliver the role with confidence but you do need the dedication and compassion to help customers to live great lives.

We are currently seeking people for part time hours mainly covering weekends and evenings.

The Avalon Group is a well-established, award-winning charity providing flexible person-centred care, support and companionship for everyday life, housing, learning and employment.

The rate of pay is from £8.31 per hour weekdays and £8.41 per hour on weekends with further enhancements for sleepovers and waking nights.

As an Avalon employee you will get exclusive access to discounts at high street retailers such as Boots, M&S and Sports Direct. You will also be able to join an employee assistance scheme, which is a 24/7 advice service giving you impartial guidance regarding any personal matters or concerns you may have.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an award-winning charity. Give us a call today on 01609 533342 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with ‘Avalon Skipton’ in the subject line.
