Let's celebrate Care Home Open Day 2017!

Care Home Open Day takes place this year on Friday 16th June and is a fantastic opportunity for services to open their doors to the community in which they are a part of. It is a chance to showcase and celebrate what a wonderful place our care homes are and the amazing work our staff do.

The theme this year is “Friendship” and this year’s event will be celebrated in conjunction with The Big Lunch.

The Big Lunch is an annual event that aims to get as many people as possible to share lunch together in an act of friendship, encouraging communities to connect and help to prevent isolation amongst those who may be living alone. It’s the perfect recipe for community spirit - having fun with your neighbours and helping to build stronger connections amongst neighbourhoods.

Various events will be happening across services to celebrate the day including vintage tea parties, a cupcake day and a singer and lunch buffet.

Do you have friends or family members who might be interested in finding out more about a career in adult social care?

Our staff will be on hand to talk about what it’s really like to have a career in care and the current opportunities within the area. It is a chance for those interested to visit the service and have some valuable conversations with those who know best!

Show your support, come along and help us to spread the word.

Let’s make a difference and #MakeCareMatter!
