Parents Care

Like Angie, the care sector welcomes and supports parents who would like to get into a new career.

We understand being a parent automatically creates a number of questions when considering applying for jobs.

parent questions

 “I don’t have any experience!”

You do not need experience to work in the adult care sector! Just the right qualities and values. And what’s more… it is likely you will be offered basic FREE training to get qualifications whilst working.

“How can I afford childcare?”

Whilst childcare is a personal choice for your loved ones, please do not forget to consider the current government child care schemes that you may be entitled to.

Many care providers’ flexible working hours to work for you and your child’s needs. It ALWAYS worth a phone call to a provider to discuss your availability.

“Do I have time?”

If you’re worried about juggling all your responsibilities, a career in care can be very flexible to work with you and your home life.

Do I have to give up every evening?

No, a care provider RARELY asks for every evening working. This is something you can discuss with a provider when applying for roles.

I don’t want to give up every weekend

There are a variety of people who work different hours to suit them. It is likely care roles will have some weekend staff as well. Again, we advise you to speak to any care provider you’re applying for a role with.

We advise you do not rule out a new career in care because you’re concerned about the hours.
