About Us:

At The Ingleborough Nursing Home, we pride ourselves on providing high-quality care and a warm, friendly environment for our residents. We are looking for a dedicated Activities Coordinator join our team and contribute to the well-being and quality of life of our residents through provision of a varied activities calendar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a varied program of activities that cater to the interests and needs of residents, including arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, and outings.
  • Foster relationships with residents to encourage participation in activities and ensure their preferences are considered in program planning.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to understand residents’ physical and emotional needs and tailor activities accordingly.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of the resident monthly newsletter, including gathering content, writing articles, and ensuring timely delivery to all residents.
  • Plan and coordinate special activities for occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, public holidays, and other celebrations to enhance the resident experience.

Requirements:

  •        A genuine interest in and commitment to enhancing the lives of residents.
  •        Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  •        Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  •        Previous experience in activities coordination or provision of activities or similar role
  •        Previous experience of team leading
  •        Full Driving licence
