NYC Lifeline Service has been established for over 30 years and makes a valuable contribution to the local community, getting help to residents throughout North Yorkshire in emergency situations.  We are looking for additional team players, people who can offer a reassuring and confident manner and can keep calm under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations.  

 

 

Lifeline Operators handle a wide range of calls from throughout North Yorkshire. The job is varied and rewarding. Due to the type of emergency calls handled, applicants must be emotionally resilient, be able to sympathise and empathise with customers and have the ability to ‘think on their feet’ whilst demonstrating a caring and responsible approach.

 

 

After working your shift you will really feel as though you have made a difference to the lives of others. It is important to have a “can do” attitude as it can be challenging at times. Full training and support will be provided.

 

 

The shift pattern follows a 3 week rota and the shifts are variable      

 

 

The rota for this vacancy is currently: Part Time  

 

 

The successful applicant may be required to work on a shift basis which will come with enhanced payments.

 

 

The call centre operates every day 24/7, 365 days a year. Applicants must be good decision makers and be able to prioritise their work load. It is imperative that you are able to work on your own initiative within a framework of identified procedures and protocols.    

 

An enhanced DBS is required for this post.
