As the Registered Manager at Milestone you will lead, inspire, and continue to develop an already established and dedicated team of care professionals to ensure people accessing the services have the best experience and fulfil their life ambitions.

 

Milestone is a Short Breaks service, providing a safe and effective service for adults living with learning disabilities and/or autism.

 

A key part of your role will be to ensure people are supported inclusively by a team who treat people with dignity and respect and that person centred care runs through every aspect of what you and the team you will always put the person at the centre of everything they do.

 

We are looking for someone who has experience of leading and supporting people living with learning disabilities, autism, and physical health needs in a person-centred way. You will be confident in working with a range of partners including health professionals and families.

 

To be successful, you will have extensive knowledge and experience of supporting autistic people, people with learning disabilities and/or people living with complex needs. You should have a minimum of 2 years working in care setting and management of a diverse team.

 

As the Registered Manager you will ensure the service complies with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) regulations 2014 and the CQC Single Assessment Framework. Involvement and experience of a CQC inspection is also advantageous.

 

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you can provide strong leadership experience as you will have responsibility for ensuring that people receive support that is safe, effective, responsive, caring and well led.

 

You must have a Diploma in care level 3 qualification or equivalent and be willing to undertake further training which would enable you to progress your management career within our health and adult provider services.

 

A DBS clearance is also required for the post.

 

The service operates on a 24/7 basis so you will be expected to sometimes work at the service and may be required to undertake a variety of shifts.
