Support Worker – Ashurst Residential Home

Ashurst residential and care home is a ‘homely’
and relaxed environment in which no two days are the same! We pride ourselves
on providing support for the people who live here and we aim to increase their
independence and overall quality of life. Here at Ashurst Residential and Care Home provides residential support for up to 19 residents. We provide support for residents who have physical, social and mental health care needs.
Ashurst is looking to recruit a Night Support Worker to provide night time support for up to 19 residents, which involves hourly welfare checks, provision of one-to-one care, recording of activities via electronic care notes, ensuring that all residents are comfortable and have their needs met. If suitably trained staff are also expected to administer medications as prescribed. There are also light cleaning and laundry duties.
The position is for 3 nights per week. 20.00
to 0800 with one hour break working Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. There
will be additional shifts available on days and nights if required.
We require
someone who has proven experiences working in the health care sector and
ideally someone who has experience and qualifications in working with clients
who have mental health needs.
Experience and qualifications in the
administration of medications is essential too.
