In this rewarding role, you will provide high‑quality care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, mental health conditions, or those who may be vulnerable due to age or personal circumstances. Working alongside a supportive team and healthcare professionals, you will help ensure each person receives the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care tailored to individual needs
  • Supporting clients’ wellbeing, including helping them socialise and access their community
  • Assisting with meal preparation and medication
  • Carrying out domestic tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or behaviour to a supervisor
  • Communicating effectively with clients, families, and other professionals
  • Promoting independence while respecting individuals’ rights and choices
  • Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date care records

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to work
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage challenging situations
  • Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding
  • A genuine dedication to providing high‑quality care
  • A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
