In this rewarding role, you will provide high‑quality care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, mental health conditions, or those who may be vulnerable due to age or personal circumstances. Working alongside a supportive team and healthcare professionals, you will help ensure each person receives the care, dignity, and respect they deserve.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care tailored to individual needs
- Supporting clients’ wellbeing, including helping them socialise and access their community
- Assisting with meal preparation and medication
- Carrying out domestic tasks to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Monitoring and reporting any changes in health or behaviour to a supervisor
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and other professionals
- Promoting independence while respecting individuals’ rights and choices
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date care records
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to work
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage challenging situations
- Commitment to confidentiality and safeguarding
- A genuine dedication to providing high‑quality care
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential
