Celebrating Excellence at the Care Professional of the Year Awards 2024
On Friday, 4th October, Kate and Kim from the Make Care Matter team had the privilege of attending the Inspired to Care – Care Professional of the Year Awards in Leicester. Judging the awards
Kim had the honour of judging the awards, she felt deeply honoured to be part of this process. Kim chose to participate because she believes it is crucial to recognise and celebrate the incredible contributions of those working in the care sector. These individuals often go above and beyond to ensure the well-being of those they support, and it’s important that their efforts do not go unnoticed.
Judging the nominees was no easy task. Every individual and team demonstrated exceptional dedication to providing the highest standard of care. Whether they worked directly with clients or in roles supporting the infrastructure of care services. It was an inspiring experience to see the diverse ways in which these professionals contribute to the lives of others. Helping to improve quality of life, promote dignity, and create independence.
One of the most meaningful aspects of the evening was the variety of award categories, ensuring that every role within social care—no matter how big or small—is recognised. From the frontline care workers to HR and office staff, the awards highlighted how every role contributes to a unified goal: delivering outstanding care.
The Make Care Matter team came away from the event feeling both humbled and inspired by the people they met and the stories they heard. These awards remind us of the crucial work being done in the social care sector and reinforce the importance of supporting and encouraging excellence within the field.
